You can watch it over on the YouTube channel linked above, or you can just watch it in the embed at the top of this article.

Directed by John Williams from a screenplay by Michael Müller, The Beat Beneath My Feet has the following synopsis: A painfully shy teenage boy with secret but grand rock and roll aspirations lives with his single mum in a flat in South London. Into the flat below moves an anti-social, former Rock God who faked his death eight years ago. The teenage boy works out who the mysterious neighbour is and blackmails him into teaching him the dark arts of Rock Guitar.

Perry is joined in the cast by Nicholas Galitzine, Lisa Dillon, Verity Pinter, Simon Lowe, James Tarpey, Eleanor Herdman, Ewen MacIntosh, Ian Virgo, Christian O’Connell, Dhani Mattioni-Sharma, Elisabeth Hopper, Fiona Gillies, Michael Müller, Charlotte Palmer, Sarah Flind, Hannah Watkins, Alice Hickey, Benjamin Colbourne, Andreas Lim, Jeremy Hill, Louis Mueller, Walker Hill, Jude Ryan-Gray, Luke Gordon, Jazz Blaack, Sapphire Cartledge, Mark Fenton, Caitlin Brewer, Simon Allen, Craig Osborne, Tudor Smith, Henna Lone, Jonell Rowe, Sue Bardwell, Jacky Perry, Evelien Kortum, Carol Austin, Karen Davey, Len Waterman, Pam Vernon, Saudiq Baoku, Brigitta Makk, Sheree Wallace, Jackie Bridford, David Hyndman, Amy Frost, Nathan Benson, Derek Allassani, Philip Senior, Steve Cowles, Gavin Smith, Simon Alexander, and River Chandler.

IMDb doesn’t have a whole lot of information on this particular John Williams. His filmography goes back to a film called Simon in 1998, but there’s no further info on that movie, or ones called All White, Nicotine and Bullet-Holes!, and Off the Wall. The next few projects Williams worked on were shorts, then he made the comedy The Magic Hour in 2009. After contributing an episode to the TV series Coming Up, he made The Beat Beneath My Feet. Nine years have gone by, and Williams still hasn’t made another movie…
