Halloween novelization is being reprinted for the first time in over 40 years

Author Curtis Richards’ (a.k.a. Richard Curtis) novelization of John Carpenter’s 1978 classic Halloween is being reprinted

John Carpenter’s Halloween (watch it HERE) was a huge hit when it was released in 1978 – and the following year, it received a novelization that was written by Richard Curtis under the pseudonym Curtis Richards. A lot of Halloween fans have had a chance to read that novelization and many have had positive things to say about the prologue, which takes place “in northern Ireland, at the dawn of the Celtic race” and happened to be an influence on some of the ideas in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. But the book has also been out of print for more than forty years, so it wasn’t always easy to find a copy of it. Printed in Blood is looking to change that, as they have announced that they are going to be reprinting the Halloween novelization by Curtis Richards!

Printed In Blood is VERY proud to present the ORIGINAL movie tie-in novelization, reprinted in full here for the first time in over 40 years! In addition, it has been fully illustrated throughout with nearly a hundred BRAND-NEW Illustrations created just for this release by the vector genius, Orlando “Mexifunk” Arocena. This 224-page volume is bursting with both classic and gorgeous new artistic visions of the John Carpenter horror classic.

Produced under license with Compass International Pictures and with full co-operation of the original author, Richard Curtis (who penned the original novel under the name Curtis Richards).

Hardcover copies of the Halloween novelization with a brand new cover can be pre-ordered at THIS LINK for the price of $50 and will be shipping out in January.

There’s also a limited edition of the novelization that features “the classic paperback cover art re-created by Orlando.” It goes for $50 as well, and be pre-ordered HERE. It will only be available for pre-order through October 1st, so if you want that original cover art recreation you should secure your copy very soon.
