Carole A. Feuerman’s Monumental Art Exhibition and Solo Show ‘Sea Idylls’ Opens

SEA IDYLLS: a monumental Carole A. Feuerman exhibition on Park Avenue opens in conjunction with a solo gallery retrospective at Galeries Bartoux New York.

From April 27th until the end of this year, Carole A. Feuerman's iconic swimmers are back in New York City with a monumental exhibition on prestigious Park Avenue and a solo show devoted to the artist's universe at Galeries Bartoux New York.

OPENING CELEBRATION ON THURSDAY, APRIL 27

MONUMENTAL OUTDOOR PUBLIC EXHIBITION
Beginning at 4:00 pm on April 27, The artist will be present and giving a speech at 101 E 37th Street and Park Avenue. This public exhibition of nine monumental sculptures was made possible by the support of the Patrons of Park Avenue (POPA), the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association (MHNA), the City Of New York, and the Bartoux family. The artworks are installed outdoors on the Park Avenue divide between 34th and 39th Street through the end of 2023. The exhibition is free and open to the public.

HYPER-REALISTIC AND RETROSPECTIVE SOLO SHOW
Beginning at 6:30 pm on April 27, the opening reception of "SEA IDYLLS" at Galeries Bartoux New York - 104 Central Park South will take place. Continuing until December 2023, the gallery exhibition is an interactive experience dedicated to the world of Carole A. Feuerman. This retrospective reveals the artist's creative process through a faithful reconstruction of her studio, her first sculptures, as well as a selection of exclusive artworks. She is one of the three founders of Hyperrealism, and the only woman to sculpt outdoor hyper-realistic figures. She is known as the Doyenne of the movement.

Going beyond the limits of hyper-realism, discover Feuerman's sculpture PISCES as she comes to life, (one of the artist's emblematic works). Thanks to an innovative animated video produced in collaboration with Superbien Studio, experience her at the sea, lulled by the sound of the waves. PISCES becomes more and more real according to the cycle of the sun, from dawn to dusk...at night, she disappears into the sea.

"This exhibition is not just about art, but about creating a moment of pause and reflection for the viewers.  They are not just swimmers; they tell my stories. They are satisfied with life and moreover, they are survivors." - Carole A. Feuerman
